Coming this week

Just thought I would give you all a heads up as to what to expect this week..
I have got a Zara/Topshop/Gap haul post including all the bits I purchased over the weekend.
I will also be resuming my outfits of the day (forgot to take a pic this morning) so I will post the whole weeks worth on Friday.
I am also going to see Michael Buble at the O2 on Wednesday so any pictures or videos will be going up here on Friday.
Probably some reviews and first impressions too so stay tuned!

'The Meads'

England at it's best

Sunshine, shops and Andy Murray

What a spiffing weekend it was in England.

I mean literally I don't think it could have got any better, it was nearing 30 degrees all weekend and just plain lush for all of Britain.
My weekend started with sun bathing and chilling in the garden drinking gin and lemonades with my lovely boyfriend, followed by a meal out with his family on Saturday night at the local pub where we sat in the garden and ate too much food (seriously, but I had the best peanut butter chocolate cheesecake ever) finished off by watching the movie Warm Bodies. SUCH A GOOD FILM, go watch it. I loved it.

Sunday was a lazy start with breakfast in the garden, shopping around Kingston in the early afternoon where I spent more of my hard earned cash. Then onto watching the Wimbledon final on the TV where we all tuned in to see the amazing Andy Murray finally win the grand-slam he (and the whole country) has been dreaming of. Finished it off with some penny-boarding and jumping on haystacks.

Does it get any better?!

And there is the impending arrival of our future King or Queen as the amazing Prince William & Duchess Katherine are due to pop at any moment.
I'm not sure we all could cope with Andy winning Wimbledon and a new royal within 7 days of one another! Safe to say that Olympic feeling we all were buzzing from last summer has come back with force over the past 24 hours and all I can say is...
I love being British and I damn well love my country right now.

First Impressions - Sleek's i-divine Candy eyeshadow palette

Packaging - Gorgeous. Super cute, multi coloured cupcakes. Just 100% adorable, I wish they had made the actual palette white or something just to make it a little different but hey. The sleek palettes do have a surprising high quality feel to them, they have a lot of weight behind them. This one has a little print in the corner with it's name but that as far as the limited edition aspect goes on the palette. Not sure who uses the free brushes that come with sleek as they are those horrible foam tip things. I would rather have more product than a brush personally.

Colours - As soon as I opened up the palette I knew I was going to love it. All of the colours have been named after sweets including Flump, Pear Drop, Anaseed and Cream Soda. I love my sweets so mixing makeup and sweets together is like a dream come true to me. I have included two photos one in the shade with the names and the other in direct sunlight, you can see from this one how bright these eyeshadows are.

Swatches - I only swatched four colours because I was in a rush but I promise any makeup looks I do using this palette I will post up pictures telling you which ones they are. So in the picture from top to bottom the colours are - Apple Sour, Pear Drop, Anaseed and Flump. As you can see immediately these are very pigmented, some of the colours have a strong pearlescent finish and some slightly less. I am in love with these colours. They are so so pretty and perfect for summer.

Sorry this is upside down! The colours are flipped
compared to the picture above.
Final say - If you can get your hands on this palette I would. There were only 2 left in my local superdrug so I think they will be gone by the end of next week. There is also a blusher set and pout paint in this candy line however I am not a huge blush wearer so I opted against that and they were out of stock of the pout paint. I will probably try to find it over the weekend as it looks really pretty. This palette was £7.99 in case you were wondering so a huge bargain for those who like to mix up their makeup colours.

Accessorize Sale Haul!

As promised..
Lets start at the very beginning a very good place to start.
Bag number one - Small cross body bag. This will be perfect for taking penny boarding, it's not big enough to mess up the balance. I will also be taking it to the O2 before I go next week. Perfect size, really soft material and only £12. BARGAIN.

Bag number 2 - Words cannot describe my love for this bag. It's neon coral, cross body satchel style. I have been wanting a neon bag all year and at £18 I couldn't walk away!

Ring number one - I am a sucker for the Accessorize sterling silver range. Pretty much all of my studs are from this range and I had one of their rings I wore until the band snapped from wearing away too much.. So yes I love this and it was £7.50 not bad for sterling silver.

Bangles - You may recall in my last blog post I said some of these items would have to go back and this is one item that will be returned on Sunday. I love bangles but I have so many. I don't need anymore. At £5 not a big enough bargain to keep them.

Necklace - By far my favourite purchase yesterday. Everything about it is so pretty and if it doesn't loose it's colour or chip off I think I will have this for years.

Belt - Pretty standard pink elasticated waist belt. £5 can't go wrong.

Earrings - I was very disappointed with the selection of earrings in store yesterday, there weren't many at all. I picked up these ones as I think they will be perfect for holiday and they were only £3.50.

Scarf - Another one on my returns list. Pretty as it is, I have scarves coming out of my ears. It was still £9.50 so I definitely think I can spend that on something better.

Phone Case - I died at the cuteness of this case. Only £4 and squishy rubber, its a little cat face with ears sticking off the top. Love Love Love.

Hair Bando - £3.50 I just couldn't walk away. A lot of bands tend to just catch my hair and be painful after a few hours but this one didn't pull at my hair so it went in the basket.

As I said earlier, I love the sterling silver range. These studs I saw full price and wanted them, so they were a must purchase at £4. As for the ring I wanted to try out a pinky ring and this one fit the bill perfectly.I think it was £6 in the sale.

So all of that cost £98 including some of their underwear but I didn't want to post pictures of them. I am returning about £20 worth, still not a cheap shop but when you realise the majority of stuff I bought was 50% off it would have cost me nearing £200!

Have you checked out the Accessorize sales? Found any great bargains?

Shoes that rub

It has to be one of the worst things in the world.

You buy these super cute shoes that look no different to every other pair of pumps you own and the first day you wear them turns in to hell because your feet are turning in to huge blisters. You get home take them off and then they become the shoes that you look at and think 'pretty but no'.

Right now I have on a pair of ballet pumps from Debenhams that I also own in black. I have worn them multiple times before but today my feet are dying. I would take a pic but feet are nasty, but it got me thinking 'How many other shoes do I have that are too painful to wear?'

I have run through my beautiful shoe collection in my head and come up with at least 5 pairs of too painful shoes and 2 pairs of annoying noise making shoes. WTF.
No-one has the space to have 7 pairs of shoes that are hardly ever worn, so why don't I get rid of them? What in my head is saying keeeep them, keeep them?

I have come to the conclusion I just can't bare to throw away shoes that I haven't got my moneys worth from. I would rather keep them for years and years wearing them once or twice than let them go. I can't tell you how many hours I have spent in hiking socks trying to soften up shoes. Now I have written this I have come to the conclusion I will do extreme trying on when next purchasing shoes, instead of slipping them on to size test I will do a full circuit of the shop like I did when I was a child in Clarkes looking for school shoes, and I'll tell you what my school shoes never rubbed. Ever.

Do you have shoes that kill your feet but you love anyway?

4th July!
