Candle of the month

We are well and truly getting into Autumn now, with the maximum temperatures being around 13 degrees today it is well and truly the return of the colder months.

This also means it is the return of nightly candle burning for me, I am a huge fan of Yankee candles and any time I see a new one kicking around I have to smell it. Back in July I burnt through the end of my Vanilla Satin (all time favourite which they seem to have stopped selling) and a shopping centre near me had just opened up a new Yankee store.

I picked up two lovely candles one being Pineapple Lime which has had a fair bit of summertime burning and the other was Fireside Treats.

It is unbelievably sweet but not sickly, it is that perfect autumn scent before we all get into the Christmas feel. I have burnt it almost every night since I have been home from my holidays.

I am trying to resist buying an £18 candle from Rituals but I have a feeling once this is burnt out I will be in there quicker than you can say bonfire night.

September Faves

I was going to be super organised and take a lovely photo of my monthly faves but I had so much washing and TV to catch up on over the weekend I completely forgot.

It's an odd mix but still awesome.

So you will have to forgive me and I will use the official photos for my monthly faves.

Number One
Vaseline Spray & Go in Aloe Fresh.
This is my new 'can't live without' product. It is amazing, super quick to sink in so you don't have to wait for ages. I am not a big moisturizer person so this is just a dream for me.
£5 currently in 3 for 2 at boots.

Number 2

Schwarzkopf Professional Moisture Kick Spray Conditioner.
I picked this up from Feelunique.com just before I went on holiday in the hope of keeping my hair soft and moisturised whilst in the sun and boy does it work.
I have carried on using this every day and it has made a world of difference to keeping my hair soft and shiny.
£9.40 but totally worth it.

Number 3

The return of Grey's anatomy.
'Nuff said.

Number 4

The Walking Dead, my new TV obsession. If you don't watch it, sign up to Lovefilm for 30 days free trial and watch all of season 1 and 2 in 30 days. You won't regret it!

Number 5

Salt and sweet popcorn in one bag! Heaven, especially when teamed with The Walking Dead or Grey's.

Taylor Swift tickets!

I don't know about you guys but on Friday last week I was dying to get my hands on some Taylor Swift tickets. I sat there at 9am and clicked as the second hand ticked... sold out!
HOW?!

I then went onto Viagogo and there were 987 Taylor Swift tickets up for double the price. I don't have an issue paying for concert tickets if the money goes to the performer but I hate ticket touts.

Anyway today Taylor added a 5th date at the O2 and I got tickets!!!
Sooooooo pleased. I am also excited to see Vamps Band who are supporting her.

I am going with the lovely Lauren from laurenvlogs, this will be our first concert together since McFly back in 2008! Trust me we will be fan girling for well over a week.

Bitchin' new layout

Okay so I know I said I wasn't going to change my blog design until the end of October...
I lied.

My lovely friend Lauren who designs blog layouts and has her own blog made me my very own template!
Her designs are only £20 making it a hell of a lot cheaper than other blog designers out there.

Isn't it beautiful.

You can check out her blog here
and her blog design website here

Peace ouuuuut.

About a Girl by Lindsey Kelk - Review

First up let me tell you I adored the 'I Heart' series by Lindsey and if you did too you will love this book.

I took it on my holidays and read it in under 3 days, it is a perfect holiday read/girly read. It takes you away to another world where your only problems are those of Tess (the main character and someone I want to be my friend).

Honestly it is great, it's set in Hawaii and has lots of twists and turns although a touch predictable I still loved it.

As always Lindsey leaves it on a cliff hanger with the promise of the next book coming summer 2014, all I can say is I will have that on pre-order.

Resisting the shops

I am a shopaholic.
There is no denying it, it is an addiction and it is unhealthy.
After coming back from my lovely holiday I noticed all of the shops have got completely new stuff. It's hard to ignore the call of pretty little boots and cosy big jumpers but I must!

A few months a go you may remember me posting about saving for a house, this is very much still on the cards although it will probably be a flat now as saving £7,000 is a fair bit harder than we first thought. Especially as we love going on holiday (we already have 3 in the planning stages).

BUT today is a new day and I am starting my savings quest again. I am aiming for £1000 by Christmas which gives me just over 2 months... HELP!

Do you have any money saving tips? Let me know below!

Outfits of the week

Only 3 outfits this week as Monday I was flying home and Tuesday I spent in bed trying to recover from a 9 hour flight and 5 hour time difference (it didn't work).

Wednesday I was feeling the cold in a huge way so I opted for my black M&S jeans with this super cute jumper from Zara. It is off white and has a gold zip running up the back.

I also wore my trusty Ugg boots.

Thursday wasn't much warmer in my books but I did find some trousers I haven't worn in ages. They are khaki trousers with zips on the pockets and legs, they came from Next back in February time and I forgot how much I like them. I also hear rumors that khaki green is really in this season so hopefully I will get a lot of wear out of them. I wore a long sleeved black top from Dorothy Perkins with a plaited chain necklace from H&M.
My shoes are black bow pumps from Red Herring at Debenhams.

This is also Thursday but I thought I would show you my complete winter style. This military style coat is also from Dorothy Perkins last year, it was so pretty last year but clearly the very long winter took it's toll because now it is a little rough around the edges.
I have also gone back to using my Cambridge Satchel for my daily bag.

It's Friday! Wooohooo.

Today as you may know is 'casual Friday' in my office. I am wearing a jumper from Warehouse that is a few seasons old (it was also on The Carrie Diaries last season). I have teamed it with some regular black leggings from F21 and my trusty Uggs..

I think it might be time to buy some new boots before I wreck these from daily wear.
