Times are changing

People all over the world say change is a good thing and I do genuinely agree but I am a creature of habit, I like knowing the people around me and where things are.

This however is going to change in a short two weeks. I have landed myself a shiny new job. Eeep!

It's so exciting but over the past few years I have become very content in my life and change makes me nervous. I know that the new company is filled with lovely, kind people but still butterflies are filling my stomach!

Wish me luck, I will let you know about my journey and how it impacts on my life.

In the mean time listen to a classic tune by Ozzy and Kelly Osbourne - Changes.

Beachy waves

Any reason to get out of styling my hair with heat and I am all over it. For the past few days I have been tying my hair up for lack of inspiration to do anything else with it.

Last night whilst watching Masterchef (so cool I know) I fishtail plaited my hair on both sides and slept with them in. This morning I was amazed to see the results of something so simple.

I will definitely be doing this more often. With a little salt spray I have a feeling this will be my go to summer look! What tips and tricks do you have for no heat styling? Let me know beloooow.

Beats Pill Review

The Beats pill gets a lot of bad write ups and I am not entirely sure why.

Let me rewind, I picked up an 'almost new' Beats pill for £50 on eBay about 10 days ago. It arrived in all of its original packaging looking very exciting.
Don't get me wrong there are a few big issues like when connected by AUX cable the volume buttons on the actual pill do not work, it also doesn't allow you to skip tracks from the pill so all control must be done from the device (in my case Iphone 5S).

For half a day I genuinely thought the pill was broken as these buttons weren't working and I couldn't find anything on the internet to fix them. I even e-mailed Beats for help.

A lovely lady named Olga e-mailed me back asking me to try using the bluetooth connection and this is when I discovered the buttons only work when connected via bluetooth.

After all of this too-ing and fro-ing over almost sending it back I spent the evening playing all sorts of different types of music to get a feel for the speaker quality. I have to say I think it's great, the sound is clear even when on maximum volume and it is very easy to control now I know how to work it.

The only thing is I would never pay £169 for one! I can't believe they retail at this for what is essentially a portable speaker. Over priced or what!

If you can pick one up second hand on eBay I would say go for it, they are nifty little things and I will definately get my use out of it in the summer but for £169 buy a £30 speaker and some new clothes. It is not worth it!

Why do TV shows use such expensive clothing?!

It's happened to all of us, we have been merrily watching an episode of (insert fave tv show here) and the best character is wearing a to die for (insert piece of clothing here). Off to google we go where you find out a simple jersey dress is $289!!

This happened to me with Glee's 100th episode, there were more than one clothing items I loved but the cheapest was $200 for characters who are meant to be students with poor parents.
What the hell TV?! Can't we all agree to use high street shops so fangirls like me can replicate the look!

PS this is the dress I wanted..

Santana's blue and white digital print dress on Glee

If you have seen an item of clothing on TV that you really want this website is amazing for tracking them down.

Hello Santorini

To my absolute delight I am off to Santorini with the lovely boyfriend. We are staying ten minutes outside of Oia in a very cute little hotel, it has a kitchenette so we can save on the pricey costs of eating out in Santorini but I am so excited.

This one has been on my bucket list and I can't wait to tick it off!

See you in June Oia!

Spring Primark Haul

Surprise, I'm back.
As much as I love BabbleAvenue the writing has to be done properly unlike here where I can spew words and you guys can put them together in your heads.
ANYWAY, here is a little Primark haul from March 23rd. Hope you likes it.

Please excuse the awful photos, I had no intention of putting these up here and they were taken to send to a friendling.

The most adorable PJ's ever. Pretty pricey for Primark at £10 each but too cute.

My boyfriend loves Primark sunnies. £1 winner!

Beyond adorable floral shorts. Can't wait to whip these out in Florida.

Super cute pumps £4. Bargain!

Some jazzy socks, I think these were £2.50.

Black simple beach dress. Sadly this is going back as it's so tight on the bust it pushes your boobs into funny shapes! Ick.

What I thought would be the most comfy PJ bottoms ever.. clearly built for a super model. One foot of spare material.. no joke.

By far my fave purchase. It's an almost crop boxy top, super soft and pretty colour! I think this was £5..

NYC top £3. Winner!

As a few items have to go back I have no doubt they will be exchanges...
