The Ugg Cleaning Kit - Review/OMG LOOK

Annoyingly I forgot to take a 'before' picture, I was just too excited to try cleaning my UGGs I dived straight in.

Let me give you a bit of back story first, if you find yourself on my blog a lot you will know from my 'Outfits of the week' my brown UGGs get worn at least 3 times a week. Come rain or shine they are on my feet, which resulted in an awful lot of water stains and mucky marks.

I was at the point of saying "I will throw these away this summer and get some new ones" but bam look at them now!

They look practically brand new after using the UGG care kit! I am so chuffed.
If you have UGGs looking a little ratty try this kit, you seriously won't regret it.

Outfits of the week

This week Monday was my birthday and I spent most of the day in bed watching Breaking Bad and Orange is the new black therefore there is no photo of me in my PJs. This however was my outfit on Tuesday, the pinafore dress is from Miss Selfridge last January with a plain white tee and Primarks 'Super Cosy' tights.
I am wearing my name necklace which I love and my Bearpaw boots.

Wednesday was a casual day by the looks of things, the jumper is from Primark and super comfortable. Trousers are a taupe colour from Red Herring at Debenhams and my trusty brown uggs that look brand new (post on that to follow).

Thursday I wore my grey F21 skinny jeans with this daisy peplum top from Primark (ages ago). I pulled my hair back because it just wasn't playing along. I wore my brown Uggs again but my cat stayed home, he's just a photo bomb professional.

Today is Friday and it cannot be over soon enough! Clearly I have gotten out of bed on the wrong side and I am not enjoying today. It's casual Friday at work so Topshop jeans and an old burn out top from Warehouse with the cosiest scarf in the world from GAP. Oh and my brown Uggs.

The Fault In Our Stars - Review

I rarely find myself compelled to write a review so quickly after finishing a book but I need to express my pure adoration.

Firstly I am clearly quite behind the curve, 'The Fault In Our Stars' was the New York Times bestseller a few years ago but it was given to me by someone from my boyfriends work just before November.
The book has sat in my room waiting to be read for months and I never really felt the need to pick it up for worrying it would break my heart. Alas it did anyway.

I picked it up in the beginning of January for the lack of something else to read and I am so glad I did. This book is one of the best books I have read in a very long time, it is a complete roller coaster of emotions but it made me laugh more than once and most definitely made me cry multiple times.

I don't want to give you spoilers or ruin anything for you I just want you to go and pick up the book and read. Just don't read the second half in public and preferably without any mascara on.

My applause goes out to John Green, this is spectacular.

Birthday Girl!

Hellllllllllllllllllllo little ones!

Sorry there haven't been many posts up recently I have had a busy week, but Monday 27th January was my 23rd birthday!

I can't believe I have been on this planet 23 years, unlike my 22nd birthday where I really felt old 23 feels the same.
Hopefully it will be a year of new and exciting things filled with love and laughter.

Of course you are probably wondering what I got and (drum roll please.. )

I got a MacBook Pro!

This came from pretty much everyone in my life, they all chipped in (and I added £300).
I love it so much and I am so so so grateful to them all.

I also got a few other goodies like shampoo, makeup wipes, a candle and a new pandora charm.

It was a lovely birthday :)

My new ring

At Christmas my lovely Dad got me a necklace from Swag.
Being my Dad he knows me very well, in fact so well that the necklace was almost identical to the one I got from him on my 18th birthday.

It is of course silly to have two necklaces that are practically the same so I took it back to Swag to exchange for something a little different. The first time I went there was nothing I wanted so I got a gift card but on Saturday I found myself walking past Swag and saw a ring I have wanted for 3 years.

This little beaut is from the Pandora range back in 2011, it was the last one they had and just happened to be the perfect fit.

That's what I call fate.

This is followed by tickets to see McBusted on April 24th.

Followed by a holiday in May/June.. Details will be shared when I have them.

After this will be my trip to Florida in September with some of my favourite people

Two weeks after getting back from Florida I will be seeing Ed Sheeran at the O2 on October 13th.

I think I need to get some shares in the O2. I am so excited for this year, on top of all these amazing things I am in the process with my main girl of building an amazing new website which I will tell you about soon...

Peace and love and all things lovely.xo

Hair update

The last post I did on my hair was 'deciding my winter hair style' where I went from this...

to this..

The face behind the blog

It was a pretty big shock to the system going back to having a fringe but sadly it didn't stick aroung long. I did ask for a long fringe and there are free fringe trims at my hair dresser buuuut I just couldn't hack it.

Fringes are so annoying and if you have one you deserve a medal. Don't get me wrong they look so good but they are a lot of effort especially if you have unruly hair like mine.

So this was cut in on the 13th November and this is my hair today 12 weeks later.

I don't know what is going on, I have spent all of my life trying to get my hair to grow quick and all of a sudden it has started growing! I am back to the length I was before I had it cut which seems mad to me.
I am hoping it will keep growing for the foreseeable future as I am desperate for super long hair.
If I suddenly realise what it is that's making it grow I will let you know.

An Ebay bargain

So as you might be able to tell Ebay has become my new bestie recently.

With my current items going into their last 24 hours of sale time I was having a look for some new GHDs on the off chance I would find some I like.

Buy some amazing piece of luck the Wonderland straighteners I have been after for a while were being sold, brand new in box. I picked them up for £51 +£10 p&p! Madness!

My GHDs are hitting 8 years old this year and they have lost their ability to get rid of the frizz, I used my boyfriends mum's Nikki Clarke straighteners on the weekend and even they did a better job than my GHDs hence the need for a new pair.

Can't believe the bargain I got and hopefully the items I am selling will cover the cost of these.

Oh Ebay you little beaut.

Outfits of the week

So first up is a weekend outfit, I don't do these much as I tend to spend my weekends baking whilst wearing sweatpants but on Sunday I did make a trip to my Grandma's. I am wearing a very old but well loved River Island check shirt, Topshop jeans and my grey Uggs.

This is one of my favourite work outfits, I love collars.
The top is from Next last year, its a very very old Monsoon jersey waterfall cardigan which has had it's fair share of wear but it is still one of my faves. Trusty M&S jeggings and my old brown Uggs. I am trying not to wear my grey Uggs too much until I get some waterproof spray for them.

This is technically not an outfit of the week but this is a gorgeous dress from Ted Baker (via House of Fraser) that I was thinking of getting for my work Christmas party and my cousins summer wedding.
It is gorgeous but it looks AWFUL on me. Makes me look really wide at the bottom so it got sent back but it was such a pretty dress I had to share it somewhere.
The shoes that are half on half off are from Primark.

Channeling my inner ballerina with this hair do. The top is from Warehouse about 2 years ago, again it has been worn within an inch of its life but I love it. The trousers are from Monsoon again years ago with the trusty Uggs.

It is getting to that point again where you have seen most of my winter outfits so I am sorry if you are thinking 'I've seen this before' but I am no longer shopping so there will be a lot of repeats coming up.

Yet another chunk of goodies off to Ebay..

As you can probably guess by the title on Sunday night I had a bit of a clear out in my room. I decided it's time to get rid of even more stuff but this time it's off to Ebay and not the charity shop.

It is bon voyage to the following items..

My beloved Kardashian Kollection handbag which saw me through a large chunk of the summer.
Reason for selling - I am fickle and like getting new bags meaning the old ones are out.

Urban Outfitters bowler hat which I LOVE and it really does suit me but I haven't found a place to wear it for the last year so it's gotta go.
Still has the freaking label on for gods sake.

Victoria's Secret Tote bag.
Reason for selling - It is the size of a weekender and I got it on Black Friday, I used it once coming back from NYC but it's not really my style.

Cambridge Satchel.
Reason for selling - If I am honest I should have sent it back when I got it, it's just too structured for me. I like to have a bag that I don't know what is lurking in the bottom.

If you are interested in buying any of these follow this link

My love of 'Frozen' continues..

Outfits of the week

There are only 3 here because I am too tired in the morning to remember sometimes but I promise I will get back into the habbit. Anyway this outfit is from Monday, I am wearing my cream Primark jumper with my trusty black (sort of grey now) jeggings from Marks and Spencers and my brown uggs. It was hammering it down with rain on Monday and I got soaked before I even got into the office. NOT GOOD.

This is Wednesday. I freaking love this jumper it's from Forever 21 this time last year I think. The problem is it's handwash only so it spends about 6 months waiting to be washed (lazy I know) anyway I really love it, I think it's super slimming. Again these are my M&S jeggings and I wore my black BearPaw boots which you can't see.

Finally onto today! Apologies for the yellow photo, not really sure what happened here. Anyway I am wearing my new Zara jumper which you can see in my winter haul here.. I am also wearing my Topshop jeans which I love and back in my trusty brown Uggs. You can also see a peak of my new bag, again love that.

My obsession with Special K

I love Special K, I have done for a very long time. When I was little and my Mum used to buy it I would sneak bowls of it away as it a 'grown up' cereal.
Now I am at the tender age of 22 I don't have to sneak away bowls anymore but when the Special K cereal bars/Cracker Crisps go on offer I cannot resist stocking up. Especially now I am on a health kick for 2014.

When I was in Tesco just after New Years I noticed almost the whole range was £1..
Safe to say I stocked up.

These are just the empty boxes I have another 4 at home. I could rave about their cereal bars for days, they are so tasty and you really feel like you are getting something yummy unlike certain other cereal bars.

I have only been on my no bad stuff/exercise health kick since New Years but I am already feeling so much healthier and having these as my snacks makes the day so much easier.

If you haven't tried them head on down to Tesco/Sainsburys I think they are still on offer. Also if you buy 2 products you can get a free workout top (£2 p&p) what a bargain!

This post wasn't sponsored... I genuinely love Special K.

Winter sales haul

As I mentioned a few posts ago I did do a little bit of Christmas sale shopping almost 2 weeks ago and here are the items I picked up.

The main money sucker was Monsoon/Accessorize stealing £60 of my money.

This beautiful bag is from Monsoon, it's real leather and incredibly soft. So far it feels like the perfect bag. It wasn't cheap at £44.50 but I feel like I got my moneys worth with this.

I love socks and these were £1.75 each. Doesn't get much better than that!

3 pack of bracelets from Accessorize, I don't really need them but I prefer the stretchy bracelets to bangles, easier to wear to work.

Set of bandos, mainly for running but some of them are really cute.

Next up was Zara which was crazy busy but I did get these two really cute tops.

This one was somewhere around the £14 mark, its a lightweight jumper with a little cream collar and a zip up the back. I think it's adorable.

This one was £9.98 or something and its a navy top with faux leather straps, really simple but cute.

I also went to CEX which is a trade in shop good for games and DVDs where I picked up Sex and The City season 4 for £1.. yes £1! And The Walking Dead game on PS3 for £18, not sure how I feel about the game though.. Not really what I was expecting but oh well.

So that is it for my Christmas/January sales haul. I have made a deal with my boyfriend as he has given up Alchol till the end of Feb I am giving up shopping. Lets see who cracks first.

Work out gear haul - Sports Direct

So with my new years resolutions in full swing I knew I had to invest in some new work out gear instead of running in Vans, Primark mens sweat pants and a skanky old t-shirt.

I have been told time and time again how important it is to run in the correct shoes so I headed to sportsdirect.com to take a look at what they had on sale.

First up are my beautiful new running shoes from Nike.

I really wanted some neon yellow ones but they were sold out in my size online. I had tried these on in store and loved them, they cost £34 which is a bargain for Nike shoes if you ask me.
I chose to also go for the cheaper pair (there were some others I loved for £55) but as I am new to running I didn't want to spend a fortune before I know I love it.

Next up are these running leggings from Puma.

I picked these up in store when I went to try on shoes and they sadly are un-available online.
Again there was a choice between these at £16 or some lush dark grey ones from Nike for £26 and again the bargain pair won.

I also picked up a plain cotton t-shirt and a hoodie from Olympus.

The t-shirt was £1.50 so can't really go wrong..

And the hoodie was £6, I did have to size up to a 12 because 10 was sold out. In hindsight I should have sized down to an 8 as these are a large fit but still £6 and its super cosy.
This exact one is sold out but here is a similar one for £8.

The final item was a new sports bra for £8, again can't really go wrong for that price.

As you can see from almost all the photos they are labelled wrong, I think sportsdirect charges more in store than online but take a look yourself next time you are in there.

That's it for my work out gear haul! I don't like to spend a huge amount on workout gear, at the end of the day I would rather spend the money on flash new clothes when I have lost the weight I am hoping to shift.

All of this came to £68 which is the regular price of a pair of Nike trainers. Bargain if you ask me.

LETS GET FIT FOR 2014!

BIG BOLD VOLUME BY THE LASH MASCARA - NYC Review

SORRY FOR THE CAPSLOCK I PROMISE I'M NOT YELLING...
Jokes I was.

Anyway back on December 27th I went to Kingston for a little bit of sale shopping, whilst in Superdrug I noticed the NYC (New York Color) brand. This is a brand I have never really tried, mainly because it isn't stocked by me and I've also never really heard much about them.

Anyway I picked up this mascara as a test. It was a whole £2.49.. I mean seriously I wasn't expecting a lot but I have to say I have been pleasantly surprised.

The packaging itself is nice and bright (obviously) and has a nice weight to it, it doesn't feel cheap and crap. The brush itself (sorry no photo right now I will add one asap) is a rubber wand and reminds me a lot of Maxfactor's masterpiece mascara.

This is what it looks like on, as you can see it adds nice length and curl. I won't lie to you and say it can be a little clumpy to begin with but once you brush it out it's a very nice mascara. It doesn't flake and leave black smudges on your face, and it seems to last from 8am to around 9pm without looking tired.

I have to say I am actually blown away by this, considering it's so cheap. You can pick it up from Superdrug online now, I will definitely be picking up some more bits from the NYC brand next time I see it.

Have you tried any NYC products? Let me know below what you love about it.

The definition of frizzy hair

I have mentioned a few times before that my hair has a life of it's own.
When people say they have frizzy hair I tend to laugh mainly because this is my hair, all I did was brush it..

No hairspray, no curling, this was just brushed after a day of being tied up.

I bet you think your hair is pretty awesome right now..

Birthday wishlist

I can't believe it but it is that time of the year again, my 23rd birthday is a approaching fast and it's time to start thinking of the gifts I would like to receive. I got a lot of lovely things for Christmas this year so I don't have a particularly long list, especially now I know I am heading back to the USA.

Anyway one thing I definitely want this year is a Jo Malone perfume, preferably the Pomegranate Noir.
Not only is the smell to die for the packaging is gorgeous!

Next up is the Ugg care kit, I actually need this one before I wreck my beautiful new grey pair.

I would also like some gift cards for Warehouse, ASOS and Topshop, with my new savings habit I have realised gift cards are the way forward as I can't put them into my savings account and I will need some new clothes come summer.

I have been obsessed with this watch for a long time and I think the time to get it is finally here.
Image 1 of Disney Classic Minnie Mouse Black Watch

From Disney Couture it's just too adorable.

Apart from that there isn't really anything else I am after. Money towards a house and pay rise would be great but I don't think the birthday fairy is that powerful!

Monday 6 January 2014

Orlando here I come!

This is a huuuuuuuuuuge deal for me.
I am obsessed with Disney and Harry Potter and at last I have persuaded my boyfriend and our two pals to go.

It's booked!

Walt Disney ... California & Florida, USA

I'm finally going to Orlando!!
Excited doesn't even cover it, this is really a dream come true for me.

Lets get fit in 2014

I am a sucker for Chocolate.
I can't help it, I feel like it runs through my blood stream. This of course means I eat way too much of it.
I also don't like exercising at all but 2014 is the year of change.

First things first we have to get some thinspiration going on..

So with the motivation of hitting up Miami beach come September I am determined to look like a Victoria Secret angel.

Bregje Heinen Victoria's Secret Swimwear September 2013 - 8

I had every intention of going to Pilates tonight over in Ashford but I have decided I need to run the fat off before I tone myself up. So I have an exercise bike at home already that I go on when it's too horrible outside to run and I have just ordered some new work out gear ready for running.

I plan on Running every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday and cycling every Monday and Friday. I have also been doing some yoga moves to keep my joints happy and I am forcing my boyfriend to join in all the fun!

Join me on Pinterest if you want some fitness inspiration!

The last pictures of 2013..

I wasn't sure what to write for my blog post today after some finger trouble with the new camera which resulted in my Christmas Sales haul being deleted.
As I was going though my mobile phone camera role I noticed some photos taken in the last few weeks of 2013 that I want to share with you..

This is the River Thames on the Sunday between Christmas and New Years, it had broken its banks and I'm pretty sure its 10 feet wider right now.

Glitch on GTA online that gave me $958 million... why can't this happen in real life!

Piccadilly Circus on NYE, it was crazy busy.

I was lucky enough to go and see Les Mis on NYE (and OMG it's amazing) and the ceiling amazed me too.

My new favourite top - Shopping is my cardio.
From amazon.

Christmas day!

27th December in Kingston upon thames, manic doesn't even cover it.

My lovely kitty getting confused by a Lush bath bomb.

Annual clear out that happened on Monday 30th December, with all the new stuff I got it was time to say goodbye to the old and donate. The books went to my local library and the odds and ends went to a charity shop.
