Outfit of the day

I know I said outfits would resume in December but I love this top so dearly I had to show it off.
You might remember it from a Forever 21 haul back in the summer it cost something around £15.. and I just realised these are F21 jeans too!

Simple outfit but gives off some class I think.

I will definitely be hitting up F21 in NY later this week!

Something that makes me happy..

Still painfully excited for the tour!
McBusted rock.

Outfits of the week (sort of)

I have been so awful as remembering to take photos in the morning but a whole 2 days this week I managed to use my brain before 9am! Anyways this outfit is from Wednesday, my jumper is an old one from Monsoon it is Navy with balooned sleeves as you can notice on my wrists. I am wearing a gold knot Accessorize necklace also old, F21 grey jeggings and cardigan Ugg boots which are also old!
Trying to wear lots of the old things I already own instead of buying new and similar items.

This one is today, casual Friday at work so I am wearing my Topshop jeans with regular short Uggs. My top is from Dorothy Perkins also old and has definitely been on this blog before! Being as cold as it is at the moment I feel like my outfits aren't really seen so it seems a shame to waste them when they are smothered by my massive parka!

YSL City Drive Palette

I have never owned any YSL makeup in my life. About a month ago Lauren (Laurenvlogs) gifted me a few goodies including this palette. I was so freaking excited to get my hands on some designer makeup at last however this has turned out to be a bit of a flop.

Lets go into detail shall we?

Firstly the packaging is beautiful and fills me with warm fuzzy feeling, it has a lovely weight to it and a nice click when you shut it.

These are the colours inside, they fill you with hope of being beautifully pigmented and rich..

Wrong.

Without flash
Sadly as you can see they are weak and wishy washy. You can't even see the palest of shades on my arm here. I can't help but think for £42 you should at least be able to see them!

With flash
When the flash is on you can notice the palest colour but notice how flash washes out the 3rd colour.
The only colour in the palette that looks nice both with and without flash is the grey/silver shadow.

Final say - For £42 you are better going to MaxFactor and getting a whole makeup bag full! Total let down and completely disappointing but I will be keeping it for that silver.

Primark haul - Winter edition

Good morning people of the interweb!

Today I have a lovely Primark haul for you to look at, I had been dying to go an see what was new for a while and after seeing Zoella's haul on YouTube I hot footed it over to Kingston Primark where 2 floors of goodness awaited me. Here are the pieces I picked up.

First up is the most adorable dressing gown in the world that I spent all of yesterday evening in.
It is so soft it's like a cloud, and it only cost £10.
AND I love animal ears.

Next are these fleece PJ bottoms, I have a very cold house so anything that adds a little extra warmth is perfect for me. These cost £5.

This jumper I picked up because of an outfit I saw on Hart of Dixie, I really like the fact that it's thin so I will be able to wear it all seasons (being England and all). It cost me £6, bargain!

The next item I picked up was this shirt, I love shirts but I usually cant find a proper fit. I did have to size up for this so that the buttons wouldn't stretch over my bust. Anyway the main reason for buying these is so I have something to wear under my many jumpers. This shirt was £9.

Prime example of what I want to do with the shirts with this cosy little jumper. This was the most expensive item at £14 but still adorable.

Same shirt in white. Also £9.

Finally 2 pairs of tights, the cotton rich ones are wollen style and the super cosy have a fluffy lining, perfect for the freezing weather in NY next week!

This whole shop came to £58.50. Not bad considering how much I have here! There was absolutely loads more I could have picked up but with my trip next week but I didn't want to fill my wardrobe completely!

What a terrible blogger I have been!

I am so sorry, I feel like I haven't posted anything in ages.
My outfits of the week haven't been a thing for a while but I promise I will start them again when we hit December.
There will be a Primark Haul coming at some point in the next week and there will by my New York/Black Friday haul coming once I am back.

So remember from Thursday next week I will be in New York, I will take lots of pictures to share with you here.
Sorry for being crap!

What am I listening to?

It's that time of the year that you aren't quite sure if Christmas songs are allowed yet.
It's also the time you realise your itunes hasn't had anything new on it for a few months, here are the albums that has creeped into my 'recently added' playlist.

Little Mix - Salute
Great album, has a real vintage 90's spice girls feel mixed with TLC, love it.

Busted/McFly
Due to the most amazing super group being formed I have of course been listening to both bands on repeat since Friday.

Katy Perry - Prism
This one I wasn't so sure on when it first came out but it grows on you a lot.

Robbie Williams - Swings Both Ways
Anyone who has a duet with Michael Buble on the album I am going to buy but this whole album is freaking awesome, and lovely for the Christmas feel.

If you have any amazing new albums to recommend let me know below!

SO FREAKING EXCITED!!!

Thursday 14 November 2013

He knows if you've been bad or good..

...so be good for goodness sake!

Christmas is officially upon us. It is everywhere, on our TV's in our Shops and creeping onto the radio one song at a time.

This of course means it's time to create a list of all the lovely things I hope Santa will bring.

The first on my list may not interest you much but I am desperate for it..

The Breville crepe maker

I am a sucker for pancakes and crepes, I could literally live on them and with this sneaky addition to my kitchen I can pretend I am in Paris.

I am also after this cushion from Fearne Cotton's home collection at Very. I find it way too cute.

Now You See Me, The Croods, Despicable Me 2 and Monsters University Blu-rays have also sneaked their way in to my lovely list.

Another item are these stackers jewellery boxes. I think they are such a clever idea as you can pick the layers you want depending on the jewellery you own. After working in Accessorize I own a fair amount of jewellery and I am planning on picking up some new pieces in NY.

Apart from this there isn't anything else that I want or need!
If I had somewhere to store it I would start asking for household items but unfortunately there isn't anywhere to keep it for now. So it shall wait until I eventually own a house!

What is on your Christmas wishlist?

Outfit of the day

Not the best photos in the world but I have been awful at keeping up with my outfits recently. Getting out of bed has been a real chore in this cold weather.
So anyway I am wearing a knitted jumper from Zara that has a gold zip running up the spine with a black skater skirt from ASOS and black tights with black bow pumps.
Pretty simple but looks like I have made an effort.

Bitchin' new haircut

As promised here is my shiny new hair..

Whilst having it cut all I could think was I have made a horrible mistake but now I quite like it.
The good thing about it is the fringe is long enough to push to one side and make a side fringe which I will do pretty soon as I forgot how annoying hair in the eyes is!

The hairdresser also had to take about 2 inches off the ends which has almost made me cry but hair grows and hopefully having all the nasty chewy bits cut off will help it be as gorgeous and long as possible.

Change is good! I think..

Tuesday 12 November 2013

It has been decided

Tomorrow I will be getting my haircut for the first time in 18 months!
Bring it on.

I will share a snap on Thursday if I don't hate it!

McBusted

*Runs to find all the Busted/Mcfly merchandise I've been hiding for 11 years*

OH MY FREAKING GOD.

Embedded image permalink

I will see them at the O2 if it kills me.

Picking my winter hair style..

If you aren't already aware I haven't had my hair cut since June 2012..
It needs a cut now, I haven't felt that way for a long time so I need to get myself to a salon pronto.
My problem is I have had the same hairdresser my whole life and she always cuts off too much hair, she is also a home hairdresser so I have never had the whole salon experience.

This is going to change I want to go and get some low-lights along with a cut.
I don't want to loose the length that I have spent so long growing but I do want some layers put in to take away some of the thickness.

These are the current colours and cuts I am loving..

Long Layer hair cut style brunette caramel highlights warm...sigh...I want....it's gonna take so long, my hair is slow, blarg.

At the moment my front runners are Megan Fox's colour on Lucy Hale's cut although I love love love Zooey's hair, just not sure I want to go back to bangs..

A November Wedding..

Held in Old Luxters Barn in Henley on Thames, it felt like magic all day.

October's monthly favourites

There actually aren't many new favourites kicking around  from October but here are they are.

Iphone 5s

Completely love this phone, I'm not really sure how I lived without it.

 Fuzzy slippers

£7.50 from Tu at Sainsburys.
I live in slippers from September - April so I tend to have a few pairs a year. These are my latest fuzzies to be lived in, hopefully they will survive until Christmas.

The Lying Games series -

I did a mention a little while ago about the series but I have now officially finished them. It was full of twists and turns and although a little predictable it was seriously a feel good ending.

Thats pretty much it. Apart from the return of cosy scarves and hot chocolate there is nothing new in my world. I haven't been doing any shopping in prep for NYC so make sure to look out for my haul from the city that doesn't sleep coming beginning of December.

November is here!

Welcoming November! Birthday month. 11/23 baby!

Okay so it has been here for 4 days but still..
Where did you come from?!

This year yet again feels like it is slipping away from me.

On Saturday it was my Cousins wedding which has been in the works for almost a year and now it's over!
I also cannot believe that I will be off to NYC in a short 24 days when I booked it back in May.

All of this is making me realise pretty damn quickly that life is going to fly by.

Need to make the most of it.
